Pikes Ibiza guide: Freddie's, the guest list and the over-27 rule

Pikes is not a nightclub, and that's the first thing to understand. It's a boutique hotel on the outskirts of San Antonio that happens to throw some of the most talked-about parties on the island, in a small room with a strict door. If you want to get in, the guest list and the rules matter more than at any other venue in this guide.

A hotel with a famous past

Pikes calls itself a boutique hotel crossed with a mysterious members' club. By day it's lunch and cocktails by the pool, the same pool you may recognise from Wham!'s Club Tropicana video. By night the parties move into Freddie's, the hotel's front room, which Ibiza Spotlight says was once Freddie Mercury's suite. The parties are intimate and wild; the room is small, which is exactly why the guest list exists.

How the guest list works

• Guest lists are free. You sign up for a specific event on the Pikes events site.
• Lists open two weeks before each event, and you can ask to be notified in advance.
• You can add yourself plus one; bigger groups need each person to sign up with their own details.
• The lead name's ID is checked on arrival.
• Signing up doesn't guarantee entry, so arrive early.
• Sold-out events are at capacity: no walk-ins, no waiting list, no tickets on the door.
• Hotel guests get in automatically, and dinner reservations include entry to that night's event.

For summer 2026, Pikes asked guests to make a donation to its chosen charities at the door.

The door rules

The age rule is the one that surprises people: you must be over 27 to attend a Pikes event, and carry ID to prove it. The over-27 policy also applies to dinner guests at the restaurant. Beyond age, Pikes can refuse entry for sportswear, flip-flops, swimwear or glitter, for anyone who looks too intoxicated or behaves badly, and for stag, hen, bachelor or bachelorette parties.

What's on

In 2026, Saturday nights featured the Pikes House Band with DJ Antonio Blakstad. Pikes also runs Pikes Presents outside the hotel, most visibly at 528 in the Benimussa hills, where Pikes Presents: Halloween takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 21:00 to 06:00. With the hotel's summer season ending, that's the last big Pikes date of the year.

Dinner as your way in

Since a dinner reservation includes event entry, booking a table at the restaurant is the most reliable way into a busy night. In 2025 the restaurant ran from 11 April to 31 October, with dinner from 19:30 to 23:15 and pizza at the bar until late. Note that some event nights don't take dinner reservations. Drinks tables are also available for groups.

Who Pikes suits

Pikes suits over-27s who like small rooms, live music mixed with DJs and a slightly anarchic atmosphere. It doesn't suit big groups or anyone under 27, and it isn't the place for a celebration with a stag or hen group. If you're turned away by the age rule, Sundara in San Antonio Bay is a small, friendly alternative with house and disco.

Pikes doesn't sell tickets in the usual sense, so the only things that can help you are an early sign-up, a dinner booking or a room at the hotel.
