Ibiza Town Nightlife: Pacha, Lío, Chinois and the Marina

· Updated:

Ibiza Town's nightlife is Pacha, the island's oldest big club, on the edge of town past the marina, plus Lío and Chinois on Marina Ibiza and Destino Five's pool parties across the bay at Talamanca. Add dinner in the old town and the bars around Calle de la Virgen, and it's the dressier, restaurant-first side of Ibiza, with the superclubs of San Rafael and Playa d'en Bossa a short bus or taxi ride away. In summer everything is open; in winter Pacha is the one that opens for New Year's Eve.

Pacha

Pacha opened in 1973 in an old farmhouse and is still in the same place, on Avenida 8 d'Agost, a 10–15 minute walk from the old town. Nights run from 23:00 to 06:00 and the music is house in all its forms. It's dressier than most Ibiza clubs, though casual clubwear is fine on the main floor; men going to the VIP area need long trousers. One local trick from Ibiza Spotlight: dinner at El Restaurante, a few metres from the club, includes club entry if your table reaches the minimum spend. Pacha is also the one big club with a winter date: in October 2026 it listed New Year's Eve with Music On, from €60, and VIP from €350.

Marina Ibiza: Lío and Chinois

Across the marina from the old town, Lío does dinner with a cabaret show of acrobatics, dance and song, and after 01:00 the room becomes a dancefloor. Its rules are the strictest in town: no swimwear, shorts, flip-flops, Birkenstocks, bare torsos or men's vests. Ibiza Spotlight notes that summer bookings are usually full by June. Chinois, a street away from Pacha, is the boutique club with 1920s-Shanghai decor, a classy-casual door (long trousers for men, no sportswear or open shoes) and parties usually from 23:30 to 06:00; in 2026 its big nights were Claptone's The Masquerade on Saturdays and La Troya on Mondays. From Lío or Chinois, Pacha is a few minutes away, so one night can take in two or three of them.

Destino, across the bay

Destino Five is the Pacha group's adults-only resort on Cap Martinet, above Talamanca bay. In summer its pool terrace hosts Pacha ICONS from 17:00 to 23:00: in 2026 that meant Solomun Outdoors and eight Music On Daytime dates with Marco Carola. On event days a free shuttle runs to Pacha, which makes it an easy afternoon-to-night plan. Taxis can be scarce up there, so don't rely on hailing one.

The old town and Calle de la Virgen

The early part of the night happens on foot. Dalt Vila, the walled old town above the port, is free to walk up, and the streets of the port area below fill with restaurants and bars. Calle de la Virgen is the heart of the gay bar scene: Europenightlife lists Bar 22 and Bar JJ there, with Monalisa on nearby Calle Alfonso XII, open until 03:30–04:00 in summer. Our gay Ibiza guide has more.

Where to stay

Stay in Ibiza Town if your nights are Pacha, Lío and Chinois, if you want restaurants and the old town, or if you're splitting your week between San Rafael and Playa d'en Bossa: both are a short ride away. If your trip is mostly Ushuaïa and Hï, Playa d'en Bossa saves you the taxi; for sunsets and pool parties, San Antonio.
