Chinois Ibiza guide: the marina club, its dress code and October nights

Chinois is the club for people who want a big Ibiza line-up in a smaller, dressier room. It sits in Marina Ibiza, next to the casino and a street away from Pacha, and while most of the superclubs close in the second week of October, Chinois keeps going until the end of the month. Here's what to know before you go.

Shanghai in the marina

The room is styled like 1920s colonial Shanghai. Chinois is the sister club of Park Chinois in London's Mayfair and belongs to Island Hospitality, the group behind Beachouse and Zuma on Ibiza. Ibiza Spotlight describes it as upmarket and intimate, with one of the most finely tuned sound systems on the island and high-calibre residents. It's smaller than the superclubs, and it has given several up-and-coming DJs their first Ibiza residency.

The parties

The headline of the 2026 summer was Claptone's The Masquerade on Saturdays, from 16 May to its closing on 11 October. Sundays had Bedouin's Saga, Anjunadeep held its first residency on the island at Chinois, and Defected and Blanche were also on the calendar. The sound is mostly house, from deep and melodic to disco.

What to wear

Chinois is one of the few Ibiza clubs where the dress code really matters. It asks for 'classy casual': men must wear long trousers, and sportswear and open shoes aren't allowed. Shorts won't get you in. Think dinner-out clothes rather than beach-to-club. Bring photo ID.

Getting there

Chinois is on Passeig Joan Carles I, in Marina Ibiza. According to Ibiza Spotlight, a taxi costs about €11 from Ibiza Town, €16 from Playa d'en Bossa and €32 from San Antonio. In season the Discobus runs all night to Pacha, which is on the next street. Lío is also in the marina, so dinner at Lío followed by Chinois is an easy plan.

Money-saving tip: drinks packs

Ibiza Spotlight's tip for Chinois is to buy a drinks pack of three or five drinks, which works out cheaper than paying at the bar. If you're a group, a table is the more comfortable way to do the night, especially for The Masquerade and the closing, which sell out more easily than the room's size suggests.

Who Chinois suits

Chinois suits people who like to dress up a little and want quality house music without the crowds of a superclub. It's a natural fit for couples, small groups and anyone already planning a night in Ibiza Town or the marina. If you want a giant production or a beach-to-club outfit, it's not the place; if you want a well-dressed room, a strong line-up and a sound system people talk about, it is.

Quick tips

  • Men: long trousers, closed shoes. No exceptions at the door.
  • Buy ahead for The Masquerade and the closings.
  • Consider a drinks pack instead of paying at the bar.
  • Combine it with dinner at Lío or a night at Pacha, both close by.

For 2027, expect The Masquerade and the other residencies to be confirmed over the winter. We'll add the new dates to our Chinois page as soon as they're announced, along with any late-season dates in October.
