Amnesia Ibiza guide: the two rooms, the music and what to expect

Amnesia is one of the clubs that built Ibiza's reputation, and in 2026 it celebrated its 50th anniversary. If you only know the name, this is a practical guide: how the club is laid out, what music to expect, how to get to San Rafael, and why so many people stay until the very end.

The Main Room and the Terrace

Amnesia has two large dancefloors. The Main Room is dark and cavernous, the room for long techno sets and the club's famous CO2 cannons. The Terrace is wide and open under a glass roof; as the night goes on the daylight starts coming through, and the sunrise on the Terrace is the moment Amnesia is famous for. The upper levels are VIP, with views down over both floors. In the 1980s Amnesia was an open-air club, and the Terrace still carries some of that.

The music and the 2026 parties

Amnesia is best known for techno and tech house, but Ibiza Spotlight describes the programming as eclectic, from underground to mainstream dance. Each night belongs to a different party. This is how the 2026 week looked:

NightParty (2026)
MondaySteel City by KETTAMA (June and July)
WednesdayRESISTANCE with Adam Beyer and Eric Prydz (22 July – 16 September)
FridayGlitterbox on the Terrace (15 May – 9 October)
SundayPyramid (14 June – 4 October)
Other datesMetamorfosi (Joseph Capriati), You&Me (Josh Baker)

Glitterbox brings disco and house to the Terrace on Fridays, which is a very different night from a Sunday at Pyramid or a RESISTANCE Wednesday. Pick the party first, then the club: at Amnesia that matters more than anywhere. DJ Mag readers placed Amnesia 16th in the Top 100 Clubs 2026.

Dress code and the door

Amnesia doesn't publish a dress code. People dress for a long, hot night, and comfortable shoes are worth more than smart ones if you want to last until sunrise. Bring photo ID, since entry to clubs in Spain is 18+.

How to get to Amnesia

Amnesia is at km 5 of the road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, in San Rafael, so it's not walkable from either town. Ibiza Spotlight puts a taxi at about €11–16 from San Antonio or Ibiza Town and about €22 from Playa d'en Bossa. Disco buses run all night between Ibiza, Playa d'en Bossa and San Antonio in both directions, which is the easy way back after sunrise. UNVRS is also in San Rafael, a short hop away.

Tickets, tables and the 2027 season

The 2026 season closed on 10 October with the 50th-anniversary Closing Festival, listed from €150 and sold out. The opening was on 9 May according to DJ Mag and several round-ups, though one ticket site gave 24 April. For 2027, expect announcements over the winter. Big Amnesia dates sell out, so it pays to book early; groups of six or more might find a table on the upper level is worth comparing once drinks are counted.

Tips for a first night at Amnesia

  • Choose the party before the date: a Glitterbox Friday and a Pyramid Sunday are completely different nights.
  • Stay for the end. Ibiza Spotlight's main tip is the Terrace at sunrise, when the daylight comes through the glass roof.
  • Pace yourself. Amnesia nights are long, the rooms are hot, and the best moment comes last.
  • Agree a meeting point with your group. With two big rooms and VIP levels upstairs, it's easy to lose each other.
  • Sort out the way back before you go in. The disco buses run all night in season, and taxis from San Rafael can take a while at closing.
  • Buy in advance for opening and closing parties. The 2026 Closing Festival sold out.
